What are we?
A non-profit organization dedicated to the education and interchange of information among users of Macintosh Computers in the Tulsa area. There are MUGS (Mac User Groups) all over the world. TUMS Membership is open to anyone, regardless of computer ability. We offer a special welcome to beginners, and have sessions that are tailored just for the inexperienced.
TUMS was founded in 1984, the year the wonderful Macintosh was introduced to the world.

What do we offer our members?
Monthly Meetings
. Here you enjoy the fellowship of computer colleagues. And at each meeting we have a program presented by a local expert or a visiting Manufacturer's Rep . . . with information being shared on such topics as Desk Top Publishing, How to Surf the Internet, How to Set Up your Computer for Maximum Efficiency, New Software and Hardware, and many other interesting topics. We usually have a Q & A Period.

Special Low Prices On Apple Merchandise
- A company called "User Group Store" (UGS) sells only to members of Mac User Groups, like TUMS. Through catalogs provided to members, UGS offers Mac and Mac-related merchandise at prices far below regular retail. You are placed on the UGS catalog list when you become a TUMS Member; and you're removed from it if you terminate your TUMS Membership. Other vendors offer discounts to user group members only. We pass this information on to our members as it becomes available.

Free Advice and Assistance - Members enjoy sharing their knowledge, not only during the informal Fellowship Periods or at the Q & A Sessions of the meetings, but members frequently make visits to other members' homes to help with any Macintosh problem.

Lasting Personal Relationships - Perhaps one of the most valuable benefits of being a TUMS Member is that of lasting friendships. --Friendships with those interested in one of the things which interests you: The wonderful Macintosh Computer.

Opportunity to Actively Participate
- As with all organizations, we can always use more help. Perhaps you could: write stories for our Newsletter . . . help in our club's desktop publishing . . . suggest or personally present a program for one of our meetings ... or become an officer of the group. You can grow and benefit from participating . . . and TUMS will grow and benefit from your becoming an active member.
